welcome prior to your actual visiting Seoul!
you asked too open-question. there're over 150 gay bars here in seoul, Korea. but mostly seperated in two area. one is ITAEWON and the other is Chong-no 3(sam) ga. in each areas, they have mostly straight bars or restaurants or clubs and karaoke bars. so GAY things are just a part of them, and you have to be careful to find gay allowed places even though they have over 100 gay places. ITAEWON and Chong-no 3(sam) ga is the name of subway station. see your subway information sheet carefully then you can find both of them on it. of coz, subway map you have to get at airport. in addition, ITAEWON belongs to brown line, line number six. and Chong-no sam ga belongs to purple, orange, violet lines named line number one, three, five each color. if you are young people favored, i recommend ITAEWON even if there're only under 20 gay places. it's located on the same side of ITAEWON fire station building. if you are early 30 to late 50 old people favored, i recommend Chong-no sam ga. in there, over 100 gay bars and karaoke and pubs exist. but keep this in your mind. they are not so good english speaker there so if you're caucasian or african or latin etc, people can be SHY to talk to you first. this is the reason why foreigners give up to visit Chong-no sam ga even though there are many more gay places than ITEWON. i hope you have a lot of funs in our country! |

I surely agree with Loveu4ever.
It certainly is difficult for a foreigner to go to Chongno 3ga since it's hard to communicate but rather more fun. Therefore I also recommend Itaewon. |
