Has anyone ever been to this place in Shibuya? I think it's called Shibuya Backstreet but I can't be sure. Here's the website http://s-street.jp/index.html I don't remember how I found it but here it is. I wanted to go there this weekend but I wanted to know what other people thought of it before I went. My Japanese isn't so good so I thought that it was either a club or a bar but I noticed that it had things like shower and towel.
Any ideas?

My Japanese reading and writing ability almost does't exist, but from looking at the URL, I'd say it's a hatenba or meeting place or cruising parlor or whatever you want to call it. Each day has its dress code which ranges from underwear to nothing, and guys cruise around and have sex in the dark corners. Shower, towel, drink (probably 1) and condoms are free.
They're open 2:30 p.m. to midnight weekdays, 24 hours on Fri, Sat.
Entrance is 1500 yen, cheaper at times and for younger folks. No one over 35 admitted, Sunday no one over 29 (if I'm reading correctly). I didn't see anything about foreigners, but they may also be banned. Hope someone who reads Japanese will give you a better answer.

I've been (a while ago). As Paul says, it's a hattenba (a cruising/sex place), and a pretty small one, with lockers/showers, a couple of common cruising areas, a little video/smoking room, and a few private rooms in the back. It's quite a young crowd - mostly college kids or that age range was my impression. There were no other gaijin there when I went, and as you can tell from the web site they don't advertise to foreigners. I stuck out a bit, but I was welcomed and reasonably popular (I spoke Japanese with the guys I met there). I had a nice time! As Paul says, they have theme days (it was "zenra," or "all nude" when I went) so you'll want to watch for that. Like many of these little places it's not so easy to find. If I remember correctly it's on the second floor up a narrow flight of stairs in between some other businesses, not visibly marked from the street. Happy hunting! (*_*)
